Sowore Unmoved by His Arrest – Deji Adeyanju

Deji Adeyanju, an associate of publisher of online medium, Sahara Reporters, has said that the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress Omoyele Sowere who was recently arrested and detained by the Department of State Service is unmoved by his arrest.

Adeyanju who said he and members of the ‘Take it Back’ movement visited him on Monday said the embattled Sowore is in a high spirit and remain unshaken by his detention.

“At 6pm today, 5th August, 2019, members of the Take it Back Movement were allowed to visit Sowore, for the first time since his armed abduction He’s in high spirit & unmoved.”‬

“‪UNBOWED AND UNBROKEN: Take it Back Members visit defiant Sowore in DSS Detention.” ‬Adeyanju wrote on his Facebook wall.

It will be recalled that Sowore declared his intention to lead a nationwide protest which he tagged “RevolutionNow Days of Rage” on Monday, August 5, 2019.

However, he  was arrested in the early hours of Saturday at his Lagos residence and taken to Abuja by operatives of the Department of State Services.

The DSS has since confirmed his arrest and detention.

Meanwhile, despite his arrest, the protests held in some states of the federation, during which security agents clashed with protesters, arresting and tear-gassing some.
