Prof. Luke Anike, Vice Chancellor of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), has assured that the “weather enclosure” established in the university would benefit the entire South-East geo-political zone.

Anike gave this assurance while entertaining questions from journalists in his office at ESUT, Agbani Main Campus.

The “ESUT Weather Enclosure”, the first in the South- East zone, was funded by the Federal Government through the Nigerian Metrological Agency (NIMET).

Although the project was billed for commissioning at the ESUT Agbani Main Campus last Saturday, the event was stalled by the absence of Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika and the Director General of NIMET, who earlier indicated interest to participate in the commissioning.

Anike, however, said the benefits of the weather enclosure were enormous to the university, the South-East and Nigeria as a whole, even as he described.
