Na’Allah is expected to speak on the theme, ‘Tapping into Alumni Power for Societal Growth.’
The Chairman of the Lagos chapter of the alumni association, Mr Debo Atunwa, at a briefing said the maiden annual dinner held in 2001 to provide an opportunity for greater bonding among its members and to project a positive image of their alma mater.
He said, “Going by the trend in the global village, the alumni association has opted to play a more prominent role in the development of the institution.
“As a responsible association, in order to inculcate the principles of competition and hard work in the undergraduates, we plan to resuscitate our annual bursary awards, which were initiated in 2010 for the best students in every department and faculty at the university.”
Atunwa added that a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, will be the special guest of honour at the event.
