Men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have attacked a farmhouse along Lagos Abeokuta Expressway leaving one person dead while the whereabouts of the family members are unknown.
According to an eyewitness, “Fulani herdsmen armed with rifles, cutlasses, matchets and all forms of deadly weapons invaded the farmhouse on this Lagos Abeokuta expressway. This is Ifo, Ogun State.”
The eyewitness who craved anonymity added that their community where the farmhouse is has been witnessing different attacks by rampaging fulani herdsmen.
The herdsmen were said to have invaded the farm about 6:30pm on the 15th of July, 2019 and attacked a victim known as MR. BABATUNDE KOLAWOLE leaving him in a pool of his blood after inflicting him with several cut of matchets in the head and on his body
The victim was reported to have been in a critical condition as he couldn’t even make a word after this attack. He was said to have been rushed to the nearest hospital following this attack and he was confirmed dead after few days of this incident at the hospital.
It was also confirmed that the so called herdsmen burnt down the farmhouse.
The herdsmen claimed to have lost ten (10) of their cows after eating crops from the farm earlier that day.
Mrs. KUDIRAT KOLAWOLE and her daughter Miss. OLUWASEUN KOLAWOLE who are the immediate family members of the deceased have been missing since the death of their family head (Mr. BABATUNDE KOLAWOLE) because the fulani herdsmen had promised to keep attacking the farmhouse and it’s sorrounding untill they wipe out the victims wife and daughter from the face of the Earth.
