REGY AND HENRY AMAZING GRACE FOUNDATION HOSTS A MEDICAL OUTREACH FOR MABUSHI COMMUNITY
- The National Coordinator of RHAGF, Mrs Duru Regina expressed gratitude to God for a successful event. She assured the public that the NGO will continue to support the needy and provide for the less privileged as well as embark on more social services as a way to contribute their own quarter in making the society a better place for everyone. She therefore solicited for support from the government and other well meaning Nigerians who have interest in social works.
It is said that to pity distress is but human; to relieve it is Godlike. It was based on this backdrop that Regy And Henry Amazing Grace Foundation in collaboration with Institute of Human Virology of Nigeria (IHVN) on the 25th of March 2021 visited Mabushi community in the Federal Capital territory, Abuja.
The event which was well attended was characterized by a typical practical example of giving back to the society. The activities of the day included Covid-19 awareness and sensitization, Human trafficking awareness, Gospel outreach, medical outreach and sanitation in partnership with Institute of Human Virology of Nigeria, with support from Colgate, Hypo Bleach and NYSC-SDG Health Corps Members.
The high point of the event was the free medical tests for HIV/AIDS, Blood Pressure Tests, Dental Check-ups, Environmental and Personal Hygine awareness as well as massive distribution of gifts which included, tooth pastes, hypo bleach, food, clothing material and foot wears.
Speaking during the event,His Royal Highness, the Dakachi of Mabushi, Alhaji Aminu Esu Akuyi, through he’s Spokes person, Mr James Kusase explained that Mabushi is a very peaceful community and a hospitable environment. He expressed gratitude to God and thanked Regy and Henry Amazing Grace Foundation for remembering their community and the people always.
During her goodwill message, the Premier FCT Diaspora Focal Point Officer, Mrs David Areo commended the social work the NGO has been carrying out in the FCT and other parts of Nigeria and encouraged them to carry on with their goodwill. Also, RANT HQ CEO, Suzan Ade Coker expressed her support for the event and admonished the NGO to carry on which such good work as it is a very good way to help the needy.
The Team Lead Institute of Human Virology of Nigeria (IHVN) , Mukiala Ibrahim, in an interview during the event encouraged the people to always know their HIV status for a better living. He explained that the essence of the event was to bring health closer to the people.
Also, the Supervisor of Golgate Toothpaste admonished the people to take their dental health very serious and he explained that cavity dieses should be taken serious in the present society where a lot of people consume sugar products.
