The Cherubim and Seraphim College, Ilorin, Old Students Association (CSCIOSA) will raise N100 million to repair and modernise infrastructure of the school.
To raise the money, CSCIOSA launched a N100m appeal fund in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the college and urged members and public-spirited individuals to donate money to actualise its dreams
Addressing journalists in Ilorin, the President of CSCIOSA, Mr. Ojo Adeniyi, said before the end of 2019 many structures would be built in the school.
Mr. Adeniyi also called on government at all levels to ensure free basic and secondary school education in the country and invest more on entrepreneurship training.
He said since inception, the school had produced more than 40 sets of graduates who in their rights were worthy ambassadors.
“We have decided to build a befitting library, dormitory, modern hall and rehabilitate classrooms for the school. This is our social responsibility, and we will do it,” he assured.
The 50th anniversary celebration will start with a mock assembly by old students, inauguration of projects, recognition of old and current teachers and prayers.
