MFM midfielder, Elijah Akanni, hopes the Olukoya Boys keep the momentum going, after following their Heartland heroics with another major win over Enugu Rangers on Sunday.
MFM are fourth on the NPFL table after three matches, with two victories and a draw.
The Olukoya Boys, as the Lagos based team are fondly called, have had a blistering start to the season clinching victories on difficult away grounds.
Tony Bulus’ men defeated Heartland 1-0 in their league opener in Okigwe and followed it up with another major win, beating the Flying Antelopes by the same score line.
It is a performance that has swelled Akanni’s confidence, reinforcing his belief over the team’s NPFL title ambitions.
“The secret to our success is determination and hard work. We strongly believe in our own abilities and potential, so we are focused on always getting good results.
“Either away or home, the results matters to us, it is our secret. We want to maintain this tempo and we’ll see where we’ll be towards the end of the season. I won’t rule out a title charge, I believe we can spring a surprise,” he told Sports Extra.
