Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State and other governors from the All Progressives Congress, on Tuesday met President Muhammadu Buhari at his country home in Daura.
Sources said the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, was among those in attendance at the meeting.
It was also learnt that Masari and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, welcomed the governors, who arrived in batches at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport, Katsina, and proceeded to Daura.
The governors, on arrival, initially paid Sallah homage to Buhari and prayed for longevity for the President.
Buhari, in his response, expressed gratitude to the governors for the visit.
The meeting led to a brief closed-door session.
The governors later returned to Katsina from where they departed to their various states.
