The student allegedly killed Ibrahim while the latter was fetching water from a well close to the university.
In a statement by the Deputy Registrar, Saidu Na’iya, KSTU said the physical combat between the student and Ibrahim occurred at about 10pm on August 1 while the Almajiri was fetching water from a well near the campus.
According to the statement, the police have since launched an investigation into the incident.
The school assured parents and guardians that their children and wards would be protected.
