- The indigenes of Ile Oluji town in the Ile Oluji/Oke Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State have lamented the poor state of secondary schools in the town due to alleged neglect by the state government.

The indigenes, under the auspices of the Ile-Oluji Assembly Education Group, said they had to intervene by renovating some of the schools and providing education facilities there to make teaching and learning conducive.
The Chairman of the group, Mrs Adun Akinyemiju, who spoke at a two-day career programme organised for pupils of senior secondary schools in the town said the group was formed to assist the government and the community in revamping the low standard of education in the town.
She said, “Our desire is to see education revamped in this community. We want to see the standard changed. Many of us are concerned that education standard have gone down.
“We have renovated classrooms, built laboratories, toilet block and bought generators just to see the schools running.”
The deputy chairman of the group, Mr Samuel Adegboyega, said the group had carried out various projects in seven secondary schools in the community.
