‘Govt must support agribusiness with finance’

The call is coming on the heels of the recent order given by President Muhammadu Buhari to the Central Bank of Nigeria to stop making forex available for food importation.
The agriculturist who said processing in the agriculture value chain was quite capital intensive argued that this was the best time for the government to come to the aid of farmers in the country.
While noting that there were huge potential in agriculture, Oshiotse said that there was a need to harness them to the benefit of Nigerians.
Oshiotse that it had not been easy accessing grants as he had been using funds he got from family members and friends.
He lamented that some of his colleagues had quit because of challenges.
