Fenerbahce table €3m for Onyekuru

Story Highlights
  • The 22-year-old Monaco forward is poised to move away from the Principality club when the January transfer window reopens but his destination is no longer certain according to a report on Turks Voetbal.

Fenerbahce have reportedly joined the race to sign Henry Onyekuru, Sports Extra reports.

The 22-year-old Monaco forward is poised to move away from the Principality club when the January transfer window reopens but his destination is no longer certain according to a report on Turks Voetbal.

He has been strongly linked with a return back to Galatasary, where he played on loan from Everton before he completed a permanent move to Monaco.

According to the report, Fenerbahce, are reportedly willing to part with €3m in a bid to lure Monaco to sell them their unsettled Nigeria forward.

Onyekuru failed to settle in the French Ligue 1 since Monaco paid £12.5m to sign him last summer.

Partly due to injuries and partly due to the form of the duo of Wissam Ben Yedder and Islam Slimani, Onyekuru has only made two league starts for Leonardo Jardim’s side – both coming in August.
