- He said graduates who are awaiting the official graduation, also had the privilege of getting 30 per cent theoretical instructions while 70 per cent of their stay in the school was based on practical training, which spans a duration of three years.
The Principal, Relevant Technology Board, Nasarawa State, Mr Idris A. Idris, says the vocational training school has over 2,000 students that are currently awaiting graduation.
The school, which was established by Edict No 18 of 1998, is aimed at training youths in various skills acquisition programmes that would encourage individual talent development that can reduce unemployment and increase the earning capacity among school leavers.
Speaking on the recent development and achievements recorded by the institution, the principal told journalist on Friday that the school which was lacking in most of the required equipment for basic training, received a boost during the immediate past administration of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
Appreciating the efforts of the state government which has upgraded the standard of the institution and decentralized it across the three senatorial zones, Idris said the school now has 600 students learning various skills while over 2,000 had graduated but are yet to be equipped.

“Our students are engaged in welding, sewing, carpentry, fabrication, and as I speak to you we have advanced in producing products like insecticides and paints making,” he said.
He appealed to parents to encourage their wards in acquiring vocational training by sending them to the Relevant Technology as the school is situated now in the three zones of the state where they could easily have access.
