The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria has approved four engineering courses for the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The council in a letter dated March 19, 2020, signed by the Registrar, Prof. Joseph Odigure, approved the following undergraduate courses in engineering; Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical/Materials Engineering.

“The effective date of the full accreditation status of the programme is February 27, 2020 and expires on February 26, 2025. It is necessary to point out that full accreditation is valid for five years.

“There will be a post-accreditation visit to the programmes within the period of three years of these programmes accreditation validity to check on the state of facilities and personnel,” Odigure said in the letter.

He advised the university to comply with the implementation of the recommendations highlighted in the accreditation report.
