Rangers, with a game in hand, were looking strong and poised to wrestle the title from their rivals but their recent slump has led to the players convening a crisis meeting to arrest the situation.
According to Express.co.uk, the Ibrox outfit’s first-team stars had a crunch talk, and discussed about their poor form with a member of the squad, Steven Davis, admitting the Gers are lacking “a little bit of spark”.
“There is no getting away from it – it has been disappointing for us,” said the 35-year-old.
“We have had a little bit of a dip on form and when we haven’t been at our best we have dropped points.
“We had a little chat through the week, just as players and went over a few things that we think we can do better and need to focus on.
“I have been here before I know how things are portrayed after every result, win or lose, and the scrutiny that the team is under.
“There is a huge desire from all the players and all the staff to have success this season. I don’t think it’s a question of anything to do with me being a senior player.”
