The Governing Council of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State has approved the appointment of new principal officers for the institution.
The new Rector is Mr Gani Ogundahunsi while Mr Atiku Sule and Mrs F. R. Aladeniyi were appointed as Registrar and Librarian respectively.
This was contained in a statement by the Chairman of the council, Mr Banji Alabi, on Tuesday.
Before his appointment, Ogundahunsi was the acting rector of the school.
The statement read, “The Governing Council met today (Tuesday) and in line with the powers conferred on the body by the Visitor to the polytechnic, Rotimi Akeredolu, the laws of Ondo State and the polytechnic handbook, hereby unanimously approve the appointment of the following principal officers with immediate effect.
“They are Mr Gani Ogundahunsi (Recto)r, Mr Atiku Sule (Registrar) and Mrs F. R. Aladeniyi (Librarian).”
