Pensioners in Osun State has today staged a peaceful protest in Osogbo, the state capital to demand payment of 15 months pension arrears they are being owed by government.
The protesters were seen carrying diverse Placards with different with inscriptions such as “EFCC should probe Aregbesola”, Retirees are dying”, “Pension, Gratuity is our right,”
The chairman of Forum of 2011/2012 Pensioners, Mr. Yemi Lawal, while addressing the protesters stated that Osun’s retirees were the most traumatized in the country.
