Iggy Azalea reveals she will be pressing charges against those that leaked her nudes
Iggy Azalea has vowed to find out who released her nude photos (read here) and press charges.
The rapper’s nude photos taken during a shoot she did for GQ years ago were released even though they were never meant to see the light of day. She was assured of this. But the photos were leaked and she’s pissed.
After the photos made their way round the internet, the Australian MC completely deactivated her social media accounts on IG and Twitter due to the mean comments directed at her.
She later reactivated one of the accounts to issue a statement. In the statement, Iggy said the photos were outtake shots from her 2016 GQ Australia cover shoot and that she was assured no fully topless photos of her would make the final cut. She says she also never gave permission for those pics to be released to the public.
Iggy goes on to write that there is no reason anyone who worked on that shoot should have saved the fully topless shots of her. She said the leak is an invasion of her privacy and makes her feel blindsided, embarrassed, violated and a whirlwind of other emotions.
She ends the statement with the words, “I fully intend on finding out where the leak originated from and pressing criminal charges in regards to this. It’s important to me that someone actually be held accountable for their actions & the way it impacts my life.”
Meanwhile, the photographer who shot Iggy for GQ Australia’s cover that year has reacted to the leak. He says his photos were stolen from him and published without his permission. He added that an investigation is underway and vows that the culprit will be prosecuted.
