Blackburn Rovers’ Tosin Adarabioyo has charged his teammates to take each game as a cup final as they bid to nick a promotion playoff spot in the English Championship.

Adarabioyo, currently on a season loan from Manchester City, scored his second goal of the season for the club in their 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic on Sunday and was delighted ending his 15-game goal drought.

“Buzzing to help the team with a goal and another clean sheet,” the British-born defender of Nigerian descent wrote on Twitter

“Hoping Rovers can build on back-to-back victories in the race for the top six.”

The defender doubled his side’s lead in the 37th minute after John Buckley had shot the Lancashire club ahead in the 29th minute.

The Anglo-Nigerian was on for the entire duration of the match against Charlton and he already has two goals to his name this season.

Blackburn’s next game would be against Brentford and the defender barring injury should make his 24th appearance for the club.
